Blake Lively says her happy place is behind the counter at a donut shop as she surprises fans in Connecticut.
Amid her ongoing legal woes against It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, the actress, 37, surprised fans by working the counter at a donut shop this Sunday, March 30. She took to Instagram Stories to document the moment, as she penned:
"Baking with genius food friends and their kitchen mixer the size of a car. This is what my happy place looks like."
A source told People Magazine that Lively "was in a really happy mood" during the visit "and said she is friends with the owner" of Rise Doughnuts, located in Wilton.
As per the outlet, a father-son duo walked into the outlet and chatted up the actress, and at one point, the father told his son that Lively's husband embodied the role of Marvel's Deadpool.
The drama surrounding Blake Lively explored:
Blake Lively's love for baking is well-documented, as her social media accounts are riddled with her culinary creations. Just earlier this year, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, took to Instagram to upload a photo of the dog-inspired cupcakes his wife made, captioning it:
"How Much Is That Doggie in the Window."
Blake Lively's outing comes amid her legal drama with Baldoni. The former is accusing the Jane the Virgin alum of s*xual harassment, though he retorted with a $400 million defamation lawsuit instead, accusing Lively and Reynolds of trying to engineer an attack on his public standing.
Baldoni's legal team also recently published screenshots of text exchanges between him and Lively attempting to back his claims up. A trial is scheduled for March 2026.
The debacle has prompted reactions from many a celebrity, including podcaster, Joe Rogan. Speaking on his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast with guest, Brendan Schaub in attendance, Rogan claimed Lively and her husband made a big blunder in trying to bring “sweet, nice guy” Baldoni down.
“They were trying to take over the movie and the franchise,” Rogan claimed of Lively and Reynolds. “The whole thing is crazy. [Baldoni] is suing The New York Times. He has a great case there, too… She told him to come into the dressing room while she was br**st feeding and then part of her complaint was that he came into the dressing room while she was br**st feeding. They have text exchanges going back and forth. They just thought no one was going to come out with the receipts. Everyone is scared of them. Ryan and Blake are A-list.”
Earlier this month, Reynolds petitioned the court to have Baldoni's legal claims against him thrown out, claiming that the actor cannot sue him for "hurt feelings," Variety has reported. Blake Lively also filed a motion to have the $400 million defamation suit against her thrown out, contending that it is being done in retaliation to her s*xual harassment claim.
