Bill Skarsgård's thriller film Locked has been all the rage since its release with Skarsgård stepping into another intense role after the success of Nosferatu. Full of suspense, the film centers on Skarsgård's role as a carjacker who gets locked inside a car he tries to steal and ends up getting held hostage by the car's creepy owner.

The film was shot in just nineteen days and consists of just one set- the car, as Skarsgård's character attempts to break free but is chided upon the car's owner through the car's call device. Shooting those intense scenes was absolutely no joke as the actor detailed how the shooting process was not so fun.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Skarsgård talked about how it was difficult to have him be the only person on camera as he acted inside the car. Issues like limited space and not knowing where to look, since it's a one-man film, prevailed as the actor said,

This was a very solitary experience for me in terms of performing it because it's just me and a camera for most of the movie, stuck in this f---ing car.

He further adds,

But it was awkward being alone for so long. You're like, "Okay, where do I look? The camera's here, and I'm not looking at a person." All of Anthony's dialogue is spoken through the car. And it got to the point where there's some really intense stuff happening throughout the movie. You have to perform it. That's not always easy. It literally can be a quite torturous journey when your character's tortured throughout the journey.

Bill Skarsgård is well known for his unconventional roles across Hollywood as he explores uncanny characters, mostly in thriller, and horror films, and needless to say, it's a genre that fits the actor the best.

The Swedish actor's most known and loved role is the clown Pennywise in the It franchise which earned him immense praise among fans. His recent role as Nosferatu the vampire in the Lily-Rose Depp starre was also a treat to watch as he played Nosferatu's alter ego Count Orlok, only to reveal his true colours as Nosferatu later in the film. Apart from that, his acting credits include The Barbarian, Anna Karenina, The Devil All The Time, and John Wick: Chapter 4.

In Locked, he switches sides to be the one getting terrorized instead of the usual terrorizing roles he plays. Utilizing the limited space he gets to express his character, while he acts out all the torturous consequences that Anthony Hopkins' character William puts him under; Skarsgård adds another role in his resume that showcases his acting prowess.

Locked is available to watch in theatres now.
