Lost in Starlight is the forthcoming animated film from South Korea. It is the first Korean original animated series and will be released on Netflix on May 30, 2025. The streamer has described the film as:
Set in 2050, Lost in Starlight tells the story of an astronaut dreaming of Mars and a musician with a broken dream who find each other among the stars, guided by their hopes and love for one another.
The makers have recently released the official teaser, which has excited fans about the film.

Netflix continues to expand its K-drama content, and the trend shows no signs of slowing down. Having delivered films and shows like Squid Game, My Name, and When Life Gives You Tangerines, the streamer is now set to release its first Korean original animated film, titled Lost in Starlight. The official teaser recently dropped on YouTube, and fans took to the comments to express their views.

The film is directed by Han Ji-won, who has written it with Kang Hyun-joo. Hong Kyung and Kim Tae-ri have provided the voice for the characters of Jay and Nan-young, respectively. The tagline of the film reads:
'Never forget, somewhere in this universe, there is someone always supporting you.'
The one-minute and 27-second-long teaser begins with two people bumping into each other. We are then treated to several beautiful visuals as the two characters start falling for each other. The story transports us to Seoul in the year 2050. At one point, Nan-young leaves for Mars. The entire plot will unfold as the two navigate this distance.
Over the years, Netflix has added several K-dramas to its library. This animated film has the potential to broaden their fan base.
