“My first kiss was in my friend's house playing spin the bottle... I lied and I told everybody that that wasn't my first kiss but it was,” - she admitted with a laugh.
When asked by the interviewer if that guy would recognise that she is talking about him, she said,
"She will see this and know that it was her."
Growing up Pentecostal: Ayo’s passion for fashion
Speaking about the clothes she wore to church growing up, Edebiri remembered her attempts to blend her style with her church’s strict Pentecostal rules.
“Well, at Pentecostal you get dressed up every Sunday... I wanted to try to like incorporate my own fashion,” - she shared.

Knocking her audition for The Bear out of the park
Edebiri’s role as Sydney Adamu in The Bear has earned her widespread acclaim, but getting the role wasn’t easy. She said the auditioning process was nerve-wracking but familiar.
“I had worked in restaurants my whole life and I just like knew the rhythm of what a restaurant sounded like... I was terrified,” - she admitted.
Cat or dog person? Ayo’s strong connection to her pet
When asked whether she identifies more as a cat or a dog person, Edebiri had an instant answer.
“I'm like a dog... I feel a spiritual kinship with my dog who's a chihuahua terrier mix,” - she said.
Pet peeves: The name spelling quandary
When asked whether she had any pet peeves, Ayo was quick to answer.
“I hate when people write a message to me or send an email... and they spell your name wrong,” - she expressed.
