Aubrey Plaza was initially set to be one of the presenters at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, 2025. However, following her husband and famous director, Jeff Baena's passing, the American actress understandably skipped the award ceremony this Sunday.

Jeff Baena was reportedly found dead in his Los Angeles apartment by one of his assistants on the morning of January 3, 2024. The situation left fans in shock and garnered a lot of social media attention, especially before an event like the Golden Globes.

However, Jeff was remembered by The Brutalist helmer, Brady Corbet, who paid tribute to the late filmmaker in his best-director acceptance speech. The Brutalist bagged multiple Golden Globe nominations and also won under the Best Drama Film category.
