Armie Hammer is set for his cinematic comeback with Uwe Boll's upcoming vigilante thriller, The Dark Knight.

Hammer's acting career took a hit in 2021 after allegations of s**ual misconduct against him surfaced. After a lengthy investigation by the LAPD, the DA's office decided not to press charges against the actor. However, during this time, he was dropped by his media agency and all the film and TV projects he was supposed to star in. Death on the Nile became the only exception, reportedly because it would have been too expensive to re-shoot. However, Hammer was left out of any press interaction.

Now, according to Variety, Hammer is set to return to the big screen with a role in the latest Uwe Boll project titled The Dark Knight. Find more details about this Armie Hammer role below.

Armie Hammer's New Role: Details explored

Hammer, who was allegedly accused of s**ual misconduct, is set to return to the big screen with German director Uwe Boll's next project. Titled The Dark Knight, his new film is a thriller that will star Hammer as the titular dark knight.

Although not related to the Batman universe, the Uwe Boll film also follows a vigilante who decides to go after criminals to seek justice. While it leads to his social media fame, it also subjects him to the wrath of a local police chief who decides to disgrace him.

Boll became a prominent filmmaker in the 2000s for his video game adaptations despite being critical failures. He directed projects like House Of The Dead, Alone In The Dark, and BloodRayne. The Dark Knight is his 37th film. According to the reports, it is being produced by Boll with executive producer Michael Roesch and will be shot by cinematographer Mathias Neumann.
