Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle are quelling all the rumors that they are beefing.

The Goop founder and CEO, 52, took to Instagram Stories this week to answer one follower's question about how she feels about the Duchess of Sussex, 43. “Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?” one fan inquired on Tuesday, March 26.

“I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever,” Paltrow can be heard telling the camera, before she panned it to someone sitting beside her, asking: “Do you understand this?” Meghan could then be sitting beside her, indulging in a slice of pie and shrugging her shoulders as if to indicate she was clueless about the rumors. The latter also re-posted the clip on her own account.

What we know about Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle's relationship as the former says she sees women as "friends," not "foes":

Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle's get-together comes on the heels of the former speaking about Markle and her latest Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, during an interview with Vanity Fair. She said at the time that she had met Markle and Harry, Duke of Sussex, though she didn't know them personally:

“I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all,” Paltrow said at the time. “Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.”

While she had yet to see the new Netflix show, she defended the former actress amid mounting backlash online. She noted that when “there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them.”

Paltrow continued, "I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”

Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow both share several things in common, including their love for wellness and cooking. While the latter founded her Goop brand back in 2018, Meghan announced her latest venture, As Ever. The brand is expected to sell a wide range of products, including fruit preserves, tea, and baking mixes.

“'As Ever' essentially means as it’s always been. If you followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening,” Meghan said in a February Instagram. “This is what I do and I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can." She added, "This new chapter is an extension of what has always been my love language, beautifully weaving together everything I cherish — food, gardening, entertaining, thoughtful living, and finding joy in the everyday."

Back in 2014, Markle, a mother of two, launched a lifestyle and cooking blog called The Tig. However, she shut it down back in 2017, as her relationship with Prince Harry intensified.
