50 Cent, who notoriously shares a rocky relationship with Jay Z, took to Instagram on December 9 to jokingly ask if the Super Bowl was still forthcoming. His response follows the latest twist in Diddy's s*xual misconduct lawsuit, with Jay Z being accused of forcing himself on a 13-year-old girl in 2000.

In his post on Instagram, he can be seen sitting in a sports car, looking flustered with his hat on backward, and the caption read:

"Ok I don’t know what’s going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl. 😟I’m just asking for a friend !"

During the first episode of Cam'ron's interview series entitled Talk With Flee, 50 Cent accused Jay-Z of being insecure and blocking his chance at headlining the Super Bowl. He noted that “The NFL has no issues with me,” and explained why:

"This is why I was saying I knew what ol’ boy was doing with the Super Bowl,” he said, referencing Jay-Z. “He was doing some wild sh–, Cam, because he was saying to Em and them that the NFL had the issue with me. And I’m like, ‘Well, what’s the issue? Why don’t they have an issue when I’m becoming a partner with the actual teams? But they have an issue with my performance? It makes no sense.’”

When Cam'ron asked the veteran rapper why he thought Jay Z didn't want him to perform, he said he felt “threatened” by him, given their years of contention.

“Not even threatened,” he said. “Our culture’s competitive, but I think when it goes past the music itself to blocking things in business, then I don’t understand that. Right now, he’s not even competing for a slot. He doesn’t have a new song out that he wants to be top 10 and he’s still competing. It don’t make sense. What are we competing for? What’s the goal?”

As for Jay Z, the rapper is now embroiled neck-deep in controversy as he has been named the latest defendant in the trial against Combs. The lawsuit was first filed by Jane Doe in October in the Southern District of New York and only named Combs at the time. However, this Sunday, it was amended to include Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.

In a statement to NBC News, however, Jay Z refuted all such claims, imploring the alleged victim to take it one step further and file a criminal complaint:

"These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case."

As reported by Variety, Tony Buzbee, an attorney, tried to get him to settle out of court by blackmailing Jay Z's lawyer. However, he claimed that it had the “opposite effect” and instead, he is now hell-bent on exposing his accusor for “the fraud [they] are in a VERY public fashion.”

“You have made a terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your moral world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn,” Carter wrote. “We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable.”

In response, Buzbee took to social media to defend himself and his client:

"Mr. Carter previously denied being the one who sued me and my firm. He filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him. Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve.”

Buzbee is championing several lawsuits simultaneously, and several of them are keeping the alleged victims' names under wraps. They all contend that Combs assaulted and raped them.

Diddy is currently behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, and he awaits his day in court in May 2025. He was arrested on September 16 and has been denied bail twice.
