Dave Franco is coming into the spotlight in the wake of the slaying of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, allegedly at the hands of Luigi Mangione. Users are calling on him to fill in for the role of the alleged gunman for a possible movie, with many pointing out the striking resemblance between the two.
Dave Franco is one of three children. His eldest brother is the acclaimed Hollywood actor, James Franco, who is now 46 years old. Following him is his second, more lowkey brother, Tom Franco. Brian Thompson was shot down last week, and this Monday, Luigi Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania. An Ivy League student, the 26-year-old was taken into custody after he was identified as the suspected killer in a McDonald's outlet in Altoona. Authorities released his mugshot not long after.
A video of him getting cuffed by authorities is also doing the rounds online, and as reported by Complex, Mangione was denied bail. He has been charged with the possession of several firearms, among others. At the time of the murder, the gunman managed to evade capture by absconding on a bicycle, though Mangione was located five days later.
At the time, Luigi Mangione was found to be in possession of a ghost gun, a type of gun that cannot be traced and is typically assembled at home and built with a 3D printer, as well as a handwritten, 3-page note that pointed to "motivation and mindset," officials claimed, per BBC.
The document indicated a motive, the outlet has reported, as it suggested "ill will" towards the healthcare industry at large. Per the New York Times, a senior law enforcement official said it contained phrases like:
"These parasites had it coming"
"I do apologize for any strife and trauma, but it had to be done."
It also had the words "deny," "defend," and "depose," which reportedly point to the tactics healthcare insurance companies deploy to deny compensation for patients. The three words are also referred to as the "three Ds of insurance."

As for his connection to Dave Franco, social media users began pointing at the similarities between their thick, black eyebrows and toothy grin. Soon, scores online began calling on Ryan Murphy to make the debacle into a series.
