Anthony Mackie shares his excitement as Avengers: Doomsday begins filming

With Avengers: Doomsday about to begin filming, Anthony Mackie shares his excitement as production for the next Avengers film begins during the second half of 2025.

Anthony Mackie, known in the MCU for his character Sam Wilson – initially known in the MCU as The Falcon, now playing the new Captain America after picking up the mantle from Chris Evans’s Captain America during one of the last scenes of Avengers Endgame, has stated his enthusiasm about working once again with the Russo brothers.

The brothers are all set to return to direct the next Avengers film, which in turn marks their homecoming to the franchise after their worldwide success during Avengers Endgame.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, Mackie said:

"I’m really looking forward to getting back on set with the Russos."
