Anthony Mackie is here to get fans even more excited about Avengers: Doomsday, as the Captain America actor is letting fans in on a few spoilers on what to expect from the highly awaited Marvel project. After the mild success of his debut stint as Captain America, Mackie is returning with the shield for Avengers: Doomsday where he will reprise hi role as the Captain. Joining a star studded ensemble, Mackie has revealed quite a few things about the upcoming film and all the ways it's going to blow fans' minds.
Talking to Collider, the actor opened up on on his thoughts after reading the script for the film as he said:
“You know what? I was really excited, man. It’s one of those stories that really pushes the boundaries, and it — the cliffhanger at the end, you know, the last moments of the film — it really builds and sets us up for a way for the continuation of the Marvel saga, which is really exciting.”
Further he added something even more exciting as he said:
“You see these characters, and you see how they’re introduced and how they play in the universe moving forward, and no one is safe. Everyone is expendable. It’s really exciting"
More details on Avengers: Doomsday
There's no doubt that Avengers: Doomsday is one of Marvel's most highly awaited projects as of yet as fans are eagerly waiting to meet Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom and the way he would fit into Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Fan theories have already been on the rise with many theorising that Doom might use his resemblance to Tony Stark as a way of infiltrating the MCU; a theory that the Russo brothers have not exactly rejected. Nonetheless, both the creative geniuses coming on board again can only mean great things for Marvel as they have been the masterminds behind some of the studio's best work.
Avengers: Doomsday is bringing back a strong cast, as Downey will be joined by a few of his old Avengers friends, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner aka Hulk, Mackie as Captain America, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant Man and more.

Then we have the newest Marvel team- The Thunderbolts* joining them, who are set to get their first film together as Marvel's group of anti heroes. The Fantastic Four; Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic; Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing; Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman will also be a part of the film along with some exciting characters of X-Men joining the cast.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on 1 May, 2026.
