While speaking to People at the season 6 premiere of The Handmaid's Tale, cast member Elisabeth Moss revealed that she found out which crew member had asked for her character June/Offred's underwear.
"I think it's so funny. Also, I know who it is, but I need him to (reveal himself)."
Commenting on the situation, Moss mentioned that it was "not bad as we thought it was". This comes to light after an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in which the actress mentioned that various props and costumes from the show were up for grabs for the cast and crew after the show's final season.
"We had an email sent to all the EPs that said, that was a full list of props and costumes that we could...take."
A list of all the items were sent to executive producers, and Elisabeth showed interest in obtaining her character's underwear as a souvenir.
However, when she sent a mail asking for it, she found out that someone had already asked for her character's underwear:
"And there was one thing I wanted, which was Offred's underwear...that I wore. That was specifically designed. And someone told me that someone already asked for it."
Kimmel was shocked to hear the news and called the person a "creep":
"Wait a minute. This is your custom underwear that you wore and some creep on the staff requested it in writing, requested it?... Like 'I want Elisabeth's underpants, I'm gonna take them home, I'm gonna put them in storage for a while!'"
Elisabeth Moss then went on to note that she had to work with the same people and did not want to know who wanted her underwear. However, Kimmel "needed to know" who the crewmember was and hoped it was a woman.
