Lil Yachty is going viral for seemingly comparing his diamond jewelry set, complete with a matching necklace, earrings, ring, and grills, to the set Jalen Hurts was seen showing off in December.
At the time, Eagles Quarterback Hurts was seen wearing a diamond Cuban-link chain and pendant. Not long after, users began comparing athletes to rappers, questioning who had the most bling. On the other hand, in the video circulating on Instagram, rapper Lil Yachty can be seen showing off his bling, while the caption reads:
"Can't speak for dem but my sh** gone hit."
The video has since drawn a wide range of reactions, with some users asserting that there's a huge difference in the rapper's and athletes' jewelry. Check out what a user had to say:
"Ain’t no comparison I can stare at yatchy jewelry😂 I need sunglasses for Jalen’s."
The comments didn't end there, as users were visibly divided over whose side to pick:
"That boy got a wedding ring 😂," someone joked.
"As a man what do you need 3 ear piercings for?" another questioned.
"Ehhhh it’s still not enough, you gotta zoom in😂😂 Jalen’s dancing dancing from a distance," someone else stated.
Even more chimed in:
"Hurts jewelry definitely slap but clearly y’all don’t understand how different lighting affects the way a piece can pop," one user pointed out.
"Jalen’s is so blinding you can’t even see what it says and I have on bifocals 🔥😍," another commented.
"Jalen hurt is facial perfection with those diamonds is another level. Don’t compete where you don’t compare buddy," someone else suggested.
Notably, many users felt Jalen Hurts had the better set out of the two.
Jalen Hurts manages to achieve a huge milestone during his last game: Here's everything you need to know
Jalen Hurts wore the massive diamond chain at the All-Pro’s post-game interview. The Quarterback, who boasts a 5-year, $255 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles that was signed in April 2024, sported the blingy neckpiece as he spoke about the Eagles' 27-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Just this week, he made headlines again when he scored the second running touchdown in the third quarter of the game. It was a nine-yard run to the end zone during a showdown against the Washington Commanders. By the fourth quarter, the athlete managed to shoot the ball across the goal line, effectively taking the Eagles to the Super Bowl LIX.
There, Hurts and his team will go head to head against the Kansas City Chiefs, who have won their last two games in a row.
Should the Kansas City Chiefs win this year's Super Bowl, it will go down in history as the first-ever team to have won three consecutive games in a row.
