Age gap between Bobby Flay and girlfriend Brooke Williamson explored as couple makes first public appearance at a New York Knicks game

Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson just took their relationship to the next level.

The pair made their debut at the New York Knicks game this Sunday, weeks after news of their romance broke out last month. They seemed to be all smiles during this weekend's game at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Flay also took to Instagram to share a story of Williamson at the event, and the caption read:

“Thank[s] @nyknicks for a great game and a great win last night. Food, service and slams were all first rate.”

The celebrity chef is 60 years old, while the restaurateur is 46, making it an age gap of 14 years between the two. The pair first sparked dating rumors three weeks ago when they attended a No Kid Hungry charity dinner together in Los Angeles. Furthermore, Bobby's daughter, Sophie Flay, 28, fueled rumors when she noted that her dad "always has a date" to Hollywood events.

According to Page Six, Flay and Williamson reportedly began dating years after being friends. They first got to know each other on Bobby’s Triple Threat, which came out in 2022.

"They have been friends for a while and recently decided to jump in," a source told PEOPLE last month. "Her divorce last year probably gave them some additional shared experiences and over the last few weeks, love bloomed."

Per the outlet, Williamson's divorce from her ex-husband, Nick Roberts, “gave them some additional shared experiences.” The pair's divorce was finalized early last year, though the parents-of-one parted ways two years ago.

As for Bobby Flay, he was married to Debra Ponzek from 1991 to 1993. He then tied the knot with Kate Connelly in 1995, though they divorced each other in 1998. He was then married to Stephanie March from 2005 to 2015. He shares his daughter, Sophie, with Connelly.

During his appearance in an October episode of Kristin Cavallari's Let's Be Honest podcast, Bobby Flay said of his dating life:

"I would be interested in a life partner for sure, but I don’t think it necessarily needs the documentation."

He then conceded that getting married "hasn’t been the best situation" for him.

"That said, I don’t feel like I need to do it again," he continued. "I have an amazing daughter who is 28 years old. I’m not having any more kids as far as I know."
