"This movie is mine! All mine!" says Plankton in the latest poster for Netflix's Plankton: The Movie. The animated film is a spin-off project based on the Nickelodeon television series SpongeBob SquarePants. While the original show centered around SpongeBob, the film will focus on Plankton, the main antagonist in this animated universe.

SpongeBob fans will recognize Plankton as the evil figure who is often up to something crafty. Even in the new film, he hopes for world domination. However, his plans are thwarted when his wife, Karen the Computer, decides to take over the world herself. In this situation, he must seek help from his frenemy, SpongeBob. The film follows them as they try to work together despite their differences to restore Plankton's relationship with Karen.

Ahead of its streaming release on March 7, Netflix has shared a new poster that features the message mentioned before. Here's the poster:

The vertical poster shows Plankton in a rage-fueled mode as he claims that the movie is all his. Even here, he is evil and selfish, asserting that everything belongs to him. It seems like Plankton: The Movie will be a fun ride for the show's fans who want to witness his usual antics.

Plankton The Movie is the second spin-off project based on Stephen Hillenburg's Nickelodeon series, following 2024's Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie. Set for a Netflix release on March 7, the film is directed by Dave Needham, who previously helmed Netflix's The Loud House Movie. The screenplay is written by Kaz, Chris Viscardi, and Mr. Lawrence, based on a story by Lawrence.

Mr. Lawrence returns as part of the voice cast in the titular role of Plankton. The rest of the voice cast for Plankton: The Movie includes:

  • Jill Talley as Karen
  • Tom Kenny as SpongeBob SquarePants
  • Carolyn Lawrence as Sandy Cheeks
  • Rodger Bumpass as Squidward Tentacles
  • Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick Star
  • Clancy Brown as Mr. Krabs
  • Lori Alan as Pearl
  • Mary Jo Catlett as Mrs. Puff

The newly released poster by Netflix promises the wild ride that the trailer must have led fans to expect. It showcases Plankton’s caricatured wicked nature as he proclaims that the movie is also his, aligning with his usual rant about world domination. This time, however, his relationship with Karen seems to be in jeopardy, raising the stakes for this tiny yet ambitious copepod.

SpongeBob SquarePants fans (and Plankton fans) can watch Plankton: The Movie on Netflix from March 7 onwards.
