Ryan Coogler's Sinners has just emerged as a major career high for the Black Panther director, as the vampire-centric horror film has continued to score a 100 on the Rotten Tomatoes scale, making it the first commercial film of the year to reach this feat.
Although the film has not been released yet, the reviews come from critics who logged in for an early evaluation of the horror film that stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role for the first time as he collaborates with Black Panther director Coogler again.
Apart from the scale, the film has also garnered fresh and positive reviews across major publications and early accessed watches. As of now, 45 people have rated it a full 100, making it one of the highest-rated films on the site. It would be interesting to see what turn the ratings take after the film's release as more reviews pile up.
Rotten Tomatoes ratings are based on the percentage of positive reviews a film or show receives rather than the average score. The main rating on the site, called the Tomatometer, shows the proportion of critics who gave the movie a good review—typically 3 out of 5 stars or higher. In addition to critic reviews, Rotten Tomatoes also features an Audience Score, which shows the percentage of regular viewers who rated the film 3.5 stars or higher. The critics who share their reviews on the site are approved and proven to be authentic.

In the trailer, Jordan's character says,
“I’ve been all over this world. I’ve seen men die in ways I ain’t even know was possible. Of all the things that I’ve seen, I ain’t ever seen no demons, no ghosts, no magic ... till now.”
Sinners is set to open on April 18, 2025.
