Olivas Fire’s map and evacuation details explored as authorities find a body near Ventura

On January 8, a body was found in the Olivas Fire area near Ventura. As per authorities, the death was apparently caused by the fire. Olivas Fire is a new fire that has burned at the Santa Clara River homeless camp in Ventura County, Florida after the Pacific Palisades fire spreads more into Los Angeles.

California Government issued evacuation orders naming the fire an "immediate threat to life. The order as per the government website read,

"Immediate threat to life. This is a lawful order to LEAVE NOW. The area is lawfully closed to public access."

The map of the fire showcases that the fire has spread to the Area of Olivas Park Dr & E Harbor Blvd, Ventura in Ventura County, CA.

As per Capt. Cyrus Zadeh, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office was notified by the fire officials about the human remains found in the vicinity of the fire shortly after 12 p.m.

The fire broke out in the Santa Clara River bottom near Olivas Park and Harbor Boulevard before 8 a.m. The area under fire includes Ventura's Olivas Links gold course and areas under the jurisdiction of Ventura and Oxnard police departments. The fire was reportedly contained at about 28 acres, with firefighters remaining at the scene until 4. p.m.


Firefighters stop Olivas Fire after Pacific Palisades threatens LA

Firefighters contained Olivas Fire, a bush fire burning in a rural area southeast of Ventura after it was discovered before 8. a.m. near Olivas Park. As per KCLU Org, no structures were threatened but more than a dozen people had to be evacuated.

Around 100 firefighters took to helicopters to stop the growth of the blaze in two hours. Five fires in Los the Los Angeles and Malibu area are currently being tackled as they continue to grow, these include;

  • Palisades Fire: This is the largest active fire burning between Santa Monica and Malibu. This area was heavily populated by the Hollywood elites who had to evacuate their homes.
  • Eaton Fire: Second largest fire. It has burnt more than 10,000 acres with at least five deaths reported.
  • Hurst Fire: North of San Fernando.
  • Lidia Fire: Hills of Los Angeles.
  • Sunset Fire: Historic Hollywood Hills area.

Along with the Olivas Fire which was contained, one more fire called the Woodley Fire was also contained after it was reported in local parkland and burnt over 30 acres. Images of the fires have gone viral on social media, with the fires destroying historical buildings, homes, and lands.
