Mission: Impossible's eighth installment in the action franchise is set to return to the big screen with Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. The film will be released on May 23, 2025, following multiple delays in production due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA Strike.
Lead star Tom Cruise will reprise his role as IMF agent Ethan Hunt alongside Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg. Director Christopher McQuarrie has worked with Erik Jendresen, who did the screenplay for the sequel movie.
Filming took place in multiple locations in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Malta, Norway, and Italy. Currently, the movie is in the post-production stage.
