Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is an American spy action movie which is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and comes after Mission: Impossible- Fallout which was released in 2015. Being the seventh movie under the Mission: Impossible franchise, the film was released in 2023 and is known to be a two-part venture, with its next part, Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning set to release in 2025.
Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One revolves around Ethan Hunt, who along with his team takes up a mission to stop an AI that goes by the name “The Entity”, activated by The Sevastopol. As it goes rogue on the people and works ahead with a free mind of its own, Ethan and his team’s mission is to get the two keys that can be used to shut down “The Entity” for good. Along the way, Ethan runs into a ghost from his past, Gabriel who seems to be working with the super-intelligent AI in bringing catastrophe to the world.

Tom Cruise plays the role of Ethan Hunt for the 7th time in the franchise. Ethan is one of the lead members of the IMF (Impossible Missions Force) and is a loyal and determined agent of his country.
Following Ethan in this mission, there is Hayley Atwell who appears in the franchise for the first time playing the role of Grace, who joins the IMF in the movie.
The film also has Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg, who reprise their roles as Luther Stickell and Benji Dunn, respectively. Both Luther and Benji are IMF agents alongside Ethan, and the three are known to have formed a great bond over the seven movies.
Actress Rebecca Ferguson reprises her role of Ilsa Faust, an MI6 agent who has worked with Ethan and his team in previous movies like Mission: Impossible- Rogue Nation, and Mission: Impossible Fallout. The movie also sees the return of Alanna Mitsopolis aka White Widow played by Vanessa Kirby who was first introduced in Mission: Impossible Fallout.
Actor Esai Morales is playing the role of Gabriel and is known to be one of the main antagonists in this two-part series. Gabriel is known to be a liaison assassin and will be working for the artificial intelligence “The Entity” in the movie. Finally, there is the main antagonist of this movie, “The Entity”, a powerful rogue sentient AI, who is voiced by Simon Pegg.
