Jon Watts' action comedy film, Wolfs, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, has reportedly raised many questions among fans owing to its twisted ending. The two stars play as lone fixers working for Manhattan's District Attorney, Margaret (played by Amy Ryan).

Surprisingly, they are called upon for the same assignment - to fix an incriminating situation for Margaret. But despite their expertise in their field of work, the two characters are forced to sideline their egos and work as a team.

As the plot culminates, the viewers are left with a number of riddles, after witnessing an abrupt ending filled with twists. The multi-faceted plot involving the two handlers (George Clooney and Brad Pitt), an unidentified Kid (Austin Abrams) and a mysterious client narrows down to a gunfight between rival gangsters.

After Clooney and Pitt's characters deal with the gunmen, they drop off the drugs and also spare the Kid's life (who was hiding in a car trunk). The ending sequence shows George Clooney eating at a diner with Brad Pitt, when all of a sudden they realise that it is not over yet. The ending strikes a rather open note and leaves the viewers wondering whether the two fixers stay alive or if there will be another fight, probably a sequel.

What happens to George Clooney and Brad Pitt's fixers at the end of Wolfs?

After going through a series of action-packed events, the two fixers end up in a gunfight between two rival gangs. They manage to survive the shootout and take care of the drugs as well. In the meanwhile, the Kid is also freed by them.

In the last sequence of Wolfs, Clooney and Pitt's characters eat at a diner and have a conversation. Suddenly, they realise that something does not feel right. Soon after, they notice that the entire diner has been surrounded by more gunmen, ready to fire at them.

The Clooney-Pitt duo prepares for another showdown, as the movie abruptly ends. It leaves many questions for the viewers, like whether Clooney and Pitt survive the final face-off. But as per reports, Apple TV's plans for a sequel have gone public, which supposedly means that the two of them are not dead yet.

As the plot wraps up towards the end of Wolfs, Clooney and Pitt's characters eventually realise that they have been victims of a set-up. Their mutual boss wants them dead for some reason and that's why they end up together at the diner, surrounded by several armed men.

However, it has still not been made clear what might be the motive to do so. It supposedly leaves the space for a sequel, where George Clooney and Brad Pitt's fixers will reportedly resume their fight against the gangsters.

The movie is now available for streaming on Apple TV.
