SZA released her reimagined album, Lana, on December 20, 2024. The album has been successful since its release, while the original album, SOS, has also come back into the Billboard 200 chart. The success of the album came even as the singer parted ways with her manager Punch.
Punch recently reacted to the post of the online X account Talk of The Charts's post on the singer's new success with her album. This reaction is triggered by fans, such as one given below:
"lol someone is riding a “coat tail”
Other netizens mostly responded negatively to Punch's reaction to the post, asking him to leave the singer alone or questioning his response. Some also questioned why the project was released as it was. A few were also confused as to whether or not he was still her manager.
"225K is where u draw the line tho?" one netizen stated.
"Why was it released as a deluxe and not its own project? 15 songs easily constitutes its own lp." another netizen reacted.
"STOP HOLDING HER BACK, PUNCH!!." one fan exclaimed.
"can u stop being weird..sza already said u parted ways" another fan commented.
"So is Punch still managing SZA ?" one commenter asked.
The singer and Punch parted ways recently, with the singer stating in response to fan Instagram account @szasgyatt's post:
"Nothing to celebrate. The end of an era. I wish him the best.. whatever his choices may be.. And to be clear I love punch deeply ! NO ONE should be attacking him or being cruel on my behalf . Sometimes ppl grow apart and that’s okay."
