What is the plot of Kinda Pregnant?

How does Kinda Pregnant end?

Lainy was showing her fake baby bump when she met and fell in love with Josh Lewis (played by Will Forte). However, her lie came out, and Josh, as well as Megan, was visibly hurt by this revelation. Post Megan's delivery, Lainy visits her and asks for her forgiveness. Her friend understands the situation and forgives Lainy. But Josh was hurt by the lie as he had imagined their future together.

Lainy made peace with the fact that Josh won't forgive her. So, she decides to get back to her life. But Josh shows up on a Zamboni in her school and tells her that her lie does not matter and he still loves her. The two drive around in the Zamboni while hitting everything in their path.

In one scene, Lainy speaks to Fallon (Urzila Carlson), where the former is telling her to do something and get rid of her baby, which Shirley overhears. While Lainy is talking about her fake belly, Shirley thinks it's about an abortion. At the baby shower conducted by Kate, Shirley talks to Lainy in front of everyone about getting rid of the baby. Josh and Megan are also present, and they witness the entire conversation. To save herself, Lainy had to reveal that she was not actually pregnant.

A very interesting trivia about the film is that Schumer was diagnosed with moon face just before filming for Kinda Pregnant started. It is caused by too much use of steroids, which leads to a swollen face. Speaking to the Call Her Daddy podcast, she said:

“I learned I had this condition and that I had something called moon face. And I'm starring in a movie — and there's a camera right in my face."

The actress added,

"I was feeling really down on myself before I started filming this movie … I was, like, really having trouble figuring out how I was going to star in a movie while I had this going on. I just needed one person to just amp me up."
