Kendrick Lamar set the stage on fire with his performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
He went on to perform a medley of his latest tracks, which included Squabble Up, HUMBLE, GNX, TV Off, DNA, and his 2024 Drake diss track, Not Like Us. After being introduced by actor Samuel L. Jackson, dressed up in Uncle Sam get-up, Lamar was joined by dancers in red, white, and blue tracksuits.
His performance also featured appearances from SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, DJ Mustard, and tennis champion Serena Williams. But the 37-year-old rapper shocked his fans by singing Not Like Us, the track that was reportedly released during an ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, labeling him as a “pedophile” and a “s*x offender.”
He acknowledged the legal issues surrounding the song, hinting at Drake's lawsuit by saying,
"I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue."
The crowd reportedly erupted and chanted "A minor," a jab at Drake.
“Kdot really murdered Drake on live television,” a fan wrote on X.
Let us learn how others reacted to the 22-time Grammy winner’s performance.
Here is how Kendrick Lamar shocked the internet with his 2025 Super Bowl performance
Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us performance at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show on Sunday garnered significant attention from the audience as well as from social media users. The rapper stared directly into the camera while singing the diss track, which was aimed at Drake, and sang, “Say Drake, I hear you like 'em young," which has gone viral.
“There's a man who knows he didn't just win, he ended someone's whole career,” a user reacted.
“The way he name drops Drake and smiles at the camera had me rolling,” another wrote.
“And don’t forget the whole stadium, screaming a minor,” a third added.
“Never beef with Kendrick Lamar. END,” a fourth wrote.
However, a few felt that he ruined his performance as he focused more on “cooking” Drake.
“That’s literally the problem, he focused so much on cooking drake that he made every other person watching disgusted,” a user commented.
“That was the most boring and low budget looking and sounding halftime show EVER!!” Another user retorted.

At the awards ceremony, which was held on Sunday, February 2, Lamar was speechless and "starstruck" after taking the golden gramophone and said,
"This is what it’s about, man, because at the end of the day, nothing is more powerful than rap music. We are the culture; it’s gonna always stay here and live forever."
He was nominated for Song of the Year with Shaboozey, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Beyoncé.
