Wilson Bethel is officially back in the Marvel spotlight, and fans have thoughts. The first official look at him as Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again just dropped, and let’s just say the internet did what it does best: reacted loudly and hilariously.

From excitement to absolute dismay, the reactions are all over the place. Some fans are hyped to see Bullseye return to the Daredevil universe, while others are… let’s say, less than impressed. But one reaction seemed to dominate them all: is this just Hawkeye with a fancier outfit?

Daredevil: Born Again

Marvel’s decision to bring back Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye was met with intrigue, but the first look at his new suit has sparked a wildfire of opinions. The image, which shows Wilson Bethel donning a sleek black tactical outfit, quickly made rounds on social media, sparking debates, jokes, and plenty of memes.

The suit leans into a more grounded, military-style aesthetic very practical, very lethal but lacking the classic Bullseye target emblem. That missing detail alone has already led to some strong opinions, with fans arguing over whether this look is a worthy update or a missed opportunity.

Naturally, Marvel fans wasted no time voicing their feelings. Some are absolutely loving it, declaring Bullseye ready to take on the world.

One user commented:

"He looks ready to take on the world."

Others, however, are far from impressed, with one particularly brutal comment summing up the disappointment:

“Looks AWFUL," a user commented.

Another common reaction? The forehead. Or, more specifically, the lack of a Bullseye symbol on it.

“If the bullseye was on his forehead, I’d be satisfied,” one fan (@erxk111) wrote, echoing the sentiment of many who hoped for a look closer to the comics.

The lack of the iconic mark has left some feeling like this version of Bullseye is missing his signature flair.

Then, there are the ones who simply can’t stop laughing at how generic he looks.

A fan joked:

“He looks exactly like a man with a gun it’s uncanny”

This comment by @voltz_michael highlights the fact that, at first glance, he doesn’t scream “supervillain” so much as “guy you’d see in an action movie.” The sheer absurdity of that description has only fueled the meme machine further.

Of course, there are those who don’t care about the costume at all and are just hyped to see Wilson Bethel return. His performance in Daredevil Season 3 was widely praised; for some, that’s all that matters.

“I’m so ready for this Daredevil: Born Again," a fan posted, summing up the excitement for what’s to come.

Love it or hate it, Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye is already making waves before Daredevil: Born Again even hits screens. The costume debate will likely continue, but one thing’s for sure: fans are watching closely.

Whether he’s "Just Hawkeye with a cooler costume" or a serious threat to Matt Murdock, Bullseye’s return is set to make an impact. Now, if Marvel could just slap a bullseye on his forehead, maybe we could all rest a little easier.
