J. Cole has announced the final Dreamville Festival. The final edition was announced via the official Instagram page of the festival on December 11, 2024, with the following statement:

"April 5 & 6, 2025 will be the Fifth & Final Dreamville Fest. What a ride it’s been… We can’t thank y’all enough for all the memories we’ve shared. From the very beginning, the idea behind the fest was creating a place where our fans, the Dreamville community, could spend time together, a place where they could see themselves reflected, a place to share in experiences. Let’s run it back one more time in April!"

J. Cole's manager and co-founder of the festival, Ibrahim Hamad, took to X to also talk about the final edition of the festival, stating:

"Thank You North Carolina. Thank you to everyone who’s travelled from all over the last 4 years to enjoy our little family reunion. This Festival is something a lot of people have been working very hard to bring you and it’s honestly been a dream come true seeing the impact."

The festival will be held from April 5, 2025, to April 6, 2025, at the Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. Presale for the festival is currently ongoing and can be accessed by signing up for it at the official website of the festival or by texting DREAMVILLE to 68624.

General onsale will only take place if there are tickets available after presales. Chase Cardholders will have early access to tickets with a valid card from December 12, 2024, at 09:00 a.m. EST.

For information about the lineup and other details, interested patrons will need to sign up at the official website. As of the writing of this article, no further information regarding the lineup, regulations, or other activities has been revealed.

J. Cole founded the Dreamville Festival in 2018

J. Cole founded the Dreamville Festival back in 2018. The festival's first edition featured the singer himself as well as SZA, 21 Savage, Big Sean, and more. Ibrahim Hamad talked about the festival in an interview with Billboard on April 8, 2019, talking about the process of creating the festival with J. Cole. He said:

"Cole always wanted to do it. It wasn’t like I had this incredible idea and I just went to him. It was conversations that we all had. Me, Cole and Sascha all have great relationships where we’ll all talk, and I think it was when we did the Forest Hills Drive Tour and before we went out on the Amphitheater Tour."

The co-founder continued:

"We did small rooms, like 1000-cap rooms we knew were going to sell out in seconds, and Sascha was our promoter for a few of those. Obviously, he had those cities that we worked with him in and just seeing how we can work directly with him, it went smooth. We’re like, “Okay, maybe this can become something bigger.”

The first edition of the festival saw 40,000 attendees, with subsequent editions drawing in more people. The festival would go on to bring acts such as Lil Baby, BLXST, Kehlani in 2022, Usher, Drake, and Burna Boy in 2023, and 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, and Rema, among others. J. Cole also performed on most editions of the festival.

Aside from the upcoming Dreamville Festival, J. Cole is set to perform at the Madison Square Garden on December 16, 2024, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the album 2014 Forest Hills Drive.
