Happy Gilmore 2 finally has a release date on Netflix
Since the first tease on Christmas 2024, fans have been waiting to know when Happy Gilmore 2 will be released. As previously mentioned, Netflix will make the sequel available to stream on July 25, 2025, for all its subscribers.
The streaming giant does not offer a free trial, and to enjoy Adam Sandler's upcoming film, a subscription plan is necessary. The platform offers several plans ranging from $7.99/month to $24.99/month as per requirement.
As for the sequel, it isn't just bringing back familiar faces like Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, Allen Covert, and more but is also packed with unexpected guest stars and new additions.
The new cast includes Bad Bunny as the new Caddie, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (AEW wrestler MJF), Margaret Qualley (Maid), Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi), Ethan Cutkosky (Shameless), Conor Sherry, and a few more.
The second film will also entertain viewers with some special appearances from real-life golf legends like Jack Nicklaus, Bryson DeChambeau, John Daly, and more. These cameos won't just add authenticity to the narrative but also highlight their significance in golf.
However, the most anticipated cameo is of Mockingbird singer Eminem, whom Snadler has known for a long time. Initially, when the release date for Happy Gilmore 2 wasn't announced, Sandler shared:
"I've known Eminem for a long time, and he's a great guy. He came in and was funny as hell. I think we just hung out a day with Eminem and just shot and shot, and it was insane. [He] said a million things we can use."
The trailer opens with Happy Gilmore reacting to a bust of his head placed alongside real-life golf legends like Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods. He seems confused, and the first thing Happy says is, "SpongeBob? What is that? What's with the beaver teeth?
It also features Bad Bunny dramatically breaking a golf club over his knee. Since Happy wasn't sure about playing the game again, his lady love Virginia Venit also stepped in to motivate him. Overall, Happy Gilmore 2 is gearing up to be a must-watch comedy when it drops on Netflix this summer.
