In the post-credit scene of Captain America: Brave New World, Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie) pays a visit to Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson), who is put inside a prison. The supervillain is staying at the Raft where the meeting takes place. Since he is known as a leader in comic books, he has the ability to foresee events that will happen in the future.
Sterns tells Wilson,
"All you heroes protecting this world. Do you think you’re the only ones? Do you think this is the only world? We’ll see what happens when you have to protect this place…from the others."
This dialogue might hint at the Incursion, which might be a part of the next Avengers film. During the event, Earth-616 is almost getting annihilated by Earth-1610, which is the ultimate universe. Sterns has stated that the other worlds are coming, and it might be a hint at the MCU's future events. One of the upcoming events is the Multiversal War, which will happen in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Chances are that an evil team of Avengers might also exist.
The post-credit sequence only consists of a piece of dialogue that hints at an impending terror that will be unleashed in the near future.
More about Captain America: Brave New World
Captain America: Brave New World is the directorial work of Julius Onah. The screenplay is by Onah, Peter Glanz, Rob Edwards, Dalan Musson, and Malcolm Spellman, while the story is by Edwards, Musson, and Spellman. It is about Wilson (who is the new titular hero after the conclusion of the Captain America trilogy), who is trying to prevent an international conspiracy event.
Initially titled Captain America: New World Order, the film also has Harrison Ford playing the role of Thaddeus Ross, aka Red Hulk. The other cast members include
- Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, aka Falcon
- Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph
- Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley
- Xosha Roquemore as Leila Taylor
- Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Copperhead
- Giancarlo Esposito as Seth Voelker, aka Sidewinder
In an interview with Collider, Onah spoke about including characters like The Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World. He said that he had access to all the characters.
"From the very beginning, I got access to those characters. They were all things that were on the table. As we talked, we refined further. What was so great about the collaboration with Marvel for me was, despite whatever was there, there was the opportunity to shape it further. So I really tried to push things in a direction that focused on the characters that could work in this tone of a grounded, paranoid political thriller, which really meant it was a story about heart and intellect."
