If you have been waiting for a Skibidi Toilet movie, then there is good news for you. The title refers to a YouTube web series made with the machinima technology that was released on February 7, 2023.

The web series has been well-received, and it features a war-like situation between toilets (that have human heads) and humanoids. The videos were created by Alexey Gerasimov and were released on the channel DaFuq!?Boom!. There have been reports that Michael Bay is planning to make a movie about it. So let us find out all the facts related to this piece of news.

Is Michael Bay making a Skibidi Toilet movie?

In July 2024, Variety reported that Michael Bay is eyeing to make a Skibidi Toilet movie. The Transformers director is teaming up with Adam Goodman, who is the ex-president of Paramount Pictures. In their podcast, Goodman said that they also want to make a television show out of the YouTube videos.

“We are absolutely in talks right now, both on the television side and the earliest conversations right now on the film side but it’s not a be-all, end-all for us.”

He further added,

"I will say that Michael and Jeffrey Beecroft, who's his longtime production designer and a colleague of his that's worked with him on all of his movies, have been working very closely with Alexey to really professionalize the kind of back engine of this, to make sure, if we ever decide to go film or television, that this is kind of lifted beyond just the resources that creators have on the internet."

Goodman also stated that they are planning to have a blend of animation and live action in the Skibidi Toilet movie.

"If we find a partner in this that really believes there's opportunity for this to grow and to really see the storytelling grow and for this to be where we hope this can be, then film and TV seems like a natural extension for us."

Goodman and his team have a different approach to the Skibidi Toilet movie. Unlike studios that crack down on online content creators, Goodman wants the creators to play with their own IPs. He said,

"Typically we issue takedowns; we're ready to make sure that nobody is messing with something we want to control. In this case, we've taken a very different approach to this. We want creators to play with our IP. We want to make sure that people are doing things, obviously within reason, so long as it kind of follows a certain guideline for us."

Skibidi Toilet started out as an 11-second-long short on YouTube and slowly gained views on the platform. Its popularity even led to merchandise and Pinterest fan art, and other things. The videos have reportedly worked well for Generation Alpha (people born either in the early 2010s or mid-2020s). The videos don't generally have a storyline but just have scenes stitched together. Despite its rough edges, the videos have become viral on the internet.

While most details are kept under wraps, fans of the videos are expected to wait for both the film and the shows with bated breath.
