Anthony Mackie needs to overcome a couple of obstacles in Captain America: Brave New World. One would be to do justice to that vibranium shield and impress the audience, and secondly, he would have to do all that within 118 minutes. The film's listing on AMC Theatre's website clearly mentions that it will be "1 HR 58 MIN" long.

At least it is breaking one record in the Captain America franchise: It will be the shortest of all. However, it won't be the shortest in Marvel as The Incredible Hulk has a runtime of 1 hour and 52 minutes.

Most of the plot details are kept under wraps but the film's logline reads,

After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.

The upcoming film is releasing on February 14, 2025, and stars Danny Ramirez (Falcon), Harrison Ford (Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross), Giancarlo Esposito (Sidewinder), and more.

While it may be short in length, it is expected to generate healthy revenue on its debut. According to Deadline, it may generate somewhere between the range of $86 million and $95 million. All three films saw a subsequent increase when box office numbers were concerned.

Captain America: The First Avenger grossed $370 million, The Winter Soldier did better as it brought in almost double with $714 million, and finally, Civil War stands at the top with $1.1 billion.

Now, maintaining this streak is going to be a task for Captain America: Brave New World, but then viewers are getting new characters like Red Hulk and Sidewinder, so that will be a plus. But then it's Steve Rogers whose shoes Falcon will be filling.
