As multiple reports have stated, the 38-year-old American actor Armie Hammer has been involved in controversies related to cannibalism and a sex scandal over the years. The allegation against him reportedly caused a fall of his Hollywood career and left behind multiple questions.

On his debut episode of Armier HammerTime podcast, he reportedly tagged the public reactions on his cannibal nature as 'wild'. As per reports, Hammer further added in a statement, saying:

"I'm not gonna lie. I kinda like the cannibal stuff now. I'm just like, 'Hey I'm a cannibal'"

Disgusted with the accusations, he also said:

"The cannibal thing makes more noise, and you don't get an apology tour in this world. Like, someone says something about you, everyone believes it, and then they move on with their lives to whatever it is that they're focused on because they’ve got their own lives."

In 2021, Armie Hammer was allegedly accused of sexually assaulting his former girlfriend Effie Angelona in 2017. She further reported being severely raped and emotionally tortured by Armie. Furthermore, in 2021, there were similar reports from his ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovic, who had also claimed there were hints of cannibalism in Armie's way of talking.

She reportedly said in a statement to Page Six:

"He said to me he wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it."

As per reports, what came out in Armie's violent and abusive behavior was the result of childhood trauma, as the actor had mentioned in his statement. According to his words, he suffered child abuse at the hands of a priest.

The cannibalistic comments made by him are reportedly an exaggeration of his uncontrollably dark and violent side - but he denied having any direct links with cannibalism, per reports.

While on multiple occasions, his actions have indicated signs of cannibal behavior and sexual abuse, Armie has claimed all of it to be a result of his introduction to sex. He reportedly said:

"My sexuality moving forward was affected by the way that I was introduced to sexually. I was introduced to sex in a way where I was completely out of control in the situation. So my response was I am going to engage in a kind of sex where I am in complete control. And that is a safe way for me to take my power back."

So, we cannot directly conclude that Armie Hammer was involved in cannibalistic practices. The comments made by him are reportedly not literal and the negative fame and downfall have helped the actor to restore his better self over the years.

Is Armie Hammer a cannibal?

Armie Hammer reportedly denied the cannibal accusations against him on Piers Morgan Uncensored. The following interview carries further details:

Hammer further justified his behavior by discussing sexual fantasies, as he addressed the topic of roleplaying in relationships. He also reportedly said that the idea of cannibalism was just a result of desire during role-play, meaning to want someone so much that it feels like wanting to eat them - as the actor has claimed.

As per Hammer, the private conversations in a relationship, when taken out to the public in broad daylight, may seem out of context and are perceived quite negatively. However, there were reportedly some allegations from another ex-girlfriend Page Lorenze that he tried to brand her with a knife. Later, it was also justified by Armie Hammer, who further said:

"I wouldn’t say brand. No. … There was a scenario that we talked about beforehand, that we had discussed where, you know, I would basically take a little, tiny point and just kind of trace the letter 'A'."

Did Armie Hammer attempt suicide at some point?

According to reports, Armie Hammer had said in a statement that he had suicidal thoughts following his devastated career and all the scandal. For him, it was 'career death' and 'ego death'.

Hammer was overwhelmed and significantly affected by the hate he received, per reports. He particularly recalled one occasion where he swam far away into the ocean and tried to drown himself but couldn't, thinking of his children. He lost the ability to manage the whole situation.

The statements from Armie's mother, Dru Ann Mobley defended him from the allegations of cannibalism. The actor also reportedly came clean after spending his days at rehab, while trying to recover from alcohol abuse.

Some years down the line, his ex-girlfriend Effie did not appear in the docuseries House of Hammer as, according to her, the show further exploited the trauma she suffered from. Armie Hammer comes from an influential family and is the great-grandson of Armand Hammer. The show explores his downfall from being a reputed public figure to someone who has faced years of scandal.
