Abigail Breslin who is currently married to Ira Kunyansky has backed Blake Lively’s legal proceedings against Justin Baldoni in a heartfelt letter as she opened up against misogyny in the industry.
The Little Miss Sunshine actress shared the emotional post on her social media account inspired by Lively’s recent allegations against Baldoni. She discussed the norm of how women have been used as “scapegoats”. The 28-year-old shared how she has been subjected to the “same toxic masculinity” throughout her life.
“In my recent career, I’ve brought forward concerns about a male colleague and was deemed “hysterical.” I was told my fears were figments of my imagination.” The actress added in the post reflecting upon her experience from the past.
In November 2023, Abigail Breslin was involved in a lawsuit filed concerning the film Classified, in which she starred alongside Aaron Eckhart. Reports indicated that she accused the actor of “aggressive, demeaning, and unprofessional behavior" on the sets of the film.
A lawsuit obtained by The Times stated that Aaron Eckhart allegedly was so aggressive on the set of Classified, that she was scared to be alone with him.
Breslin mentioned in her latest post that after taking proper actions to report misconduct she was deemed “hysterical” and “wild”. The film producers who sued her at that time claimed that the allegations jeopardized the film’s release.
Breslin who is currently married to her best friend Ira Kunyansky had been in an abusive relationship in the past. In a 2022 Instagram post, the actress shared her story with her followers when she faced domestic violence adding that she is “still healing” from the trauma. "I was in a very abusive relationship for close to 2 years," she wrote in the post.

After facing an abusive past, Abigail Breslin is currently living the best time of her life as she has married Ira Kunyansky. According to Kunyansky’s Instagram bio, he is a “crypto connoisseur.”
Breslin and Kunyansky met in 2017 and after dating for a few years, the duo got engaged in February 2022 at a beach in Malibu, California. The couple tied the knot in 2023 in Los Angeles.
In a 2023 post on Instagram, the actress announced her dreamy wedding with her husband. “01.28.23 married my bestest friend,” she wrote in the caption.
In her October 2022 Instagram post on her abusive past, Breslin thanked her family and friends including Kunyansky for supporting her to face the ordeal.
“I am beyond thankful for the support of my family and friends who played an instrumental and invaluable role in helping me leave this horrible situation,” she wrote on Instagram. “I will forever be indebted to those closest to me for them not only assisting me but, BELIEVING me.”
Mentioning her relationship status since her abusive relationship ended, she added, "I now am in a wonderful, healthy, happy, and amazing relationship with my fiancé.”
“My C-PTSD (complex post traumatic stress disorder) is much better than it was in the first 2 years after my abusive relationship, but, I still have moments. I still occasionally have nightmares, and certain things still do trigger me. I am still healing." Breslin concluded.
In a 2021 podcast episode of Hey Guys, Hey she shared about her relationship with her husband and said, “There is hope, it does get better. You do get through it. I’m lucky now, I’m in a very very healthy almost 5-year-long relationship with my boyfriend. He’s amazing, and he is the sweetest person.” She said.
The Oscar-nominated actress has been frequently spotted with Kunyansky during red-carpet events and movie premieres. According to a report in People magazine, the couple attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2021 for the premiere of Stillwater which stars Breslin along with Matt Damon in the lead role.
