Charleston White has come forward to address the rumors that he was shot in Chicago. The internet personality addressed the rumors in an Instagram Live video that has now become viral. White stated in his video address:
"Say listen. Say I ain’t got shot. If anybody know me, they know I ain't going to Chicago. No ni**a shooting me in Chicago, they got to get me in Atlanta. And Woody ain't no gangster no more. Ah Ah, Its the man n***a. Say, they say they shot Charleston White... They say they shot Charleston White.."

In the video, White then talks to a few people on bikes, repeating his statement that the rumors are wrong about him getting shot:
"They said I got shot in Chicago last night. Y'all heard that. Yeah! Ain't nobody shot me...ha.ha.ha haaayy man! They thought I caught ya! Ah-hahaha-ha-ha-haaaahh! Say, they said Charleston got shot in his a** What? They say Charleston White got shot in Chicago"
The rumors started after a Chicago Police Department officer reportedly received a call from someone claiming to be Charleston White, saying that he had been shot by three men near Northwestern Memorial Hospital, located at 251 East Huron Street, Chicago.
According to Times Now World's report on the incident, the call was recorded at 12:47 p.m. Responders arrived at the scene two minutes after the call, and they found no victim, leading to speculation that it had been a prank call.
Charleston White lives in Texas, not Chicago
A community note on the original X post, here quoted via the Times Now World article on October 21, 2024, states:
"This is not the famous Charleston White. This is a different individual who shares the same name. According to the scanner the victim is in his 30s. Charleston White is in his 40s and resides in Texas not in Chicago."
Charleston White is an online activist, comedian and the founder of Helping Young People Excel (HYPE), an organization that aims to steer youngsters away from crime and educate them.
White was born in Texas on May 17, 1977, and had a rough early life. As a teenager, he turned to a life of crime, which subsequently led to a prison stint. He recovered by quitting crime and becoming a YouTuber and podcaster who commented on recent news and other details.
White elaborated on his background in an exclusive interview with Cam Newton on December 2, 2023, stating:
"I fell in the washing machine when I was 5 years old so I was my mother was sleep I snuck outside and I was in the laundry mat playing in in on top of a washing machine and I was jumping up and down getting ready to jump off of it but I was jumping hard the lid popped open and I fell in and I broke everything from my waist down"
White narrated how he had nine eye surgeries and, due to that, never went to school till sixth grade before becoming involved in a capital murder case in the eighth grade:
"I 'm an institutionalized baby from medicine hospitals to now incarceration I'm a book driven baby I've been reading books all my life I ain't been outside playing I ain't played no Sports I've been reading books"
The internet personality is also known for his The Game Related Podcast, which launched on January 5, 2023, on YouTube and features a variety of content from White's perspective.
