Kodak Black appreciates Kanye West in a recent statement in an Instagram live after the latter expressed concerns for Black's well-being following a viral street clip. In the video, Kodak was seen sitting in the middle of a road, eating chicken while wearing a chain from Ye's DONDA collection. Kanye came across the video and announced that he would be traveling to Atlanta to check up on the rapper and see if he could make a positive impact on him.
In his live session, Kodak thanked Kanye for his concern and support and called him a genuine person. He also praised the rapper for standing by Sean Diddy Combs as he still fights through numerous lawsuits. To show gratitude, Kodak expressed that he wants to do a collab with Kanye,
Kanye a real one. You know why he a real one? Kanye the only n*gga who still f*ck with Diddy... I'm pretty sure the feds gon' probably like seize all that boy accounts. Kanye just did some real s**t.
He also went on to add,
You know what, I'ma do a collab with you, so bro can get some money and sh*t still."
"I'm about to get my flight right now" - Kanye West heads to Atlanta to help Kodak Black
After coming across Kodak Black's viral clip, Kanye West expressed his concern for the rapper and said that he'll fly to Atlanta to help Kodak out.
"I just saw a video of Kodak and I wouldn't want anybody to do an intervention on me. Now I saw this video of my brother Kodak. He's actually wearing this Donda chain and it's not just because he was wearing a chain, but it's like, how he is sitting there wearing his chain unless something says to go and get my brother."
West said that he thought about going to Atlanta since he thinks he can be "the person that can make a difference." West also urged his audience who live in Atlanta, to "really go and do something."
"So I'm going to be down there, I'm about to get my flight right now."
Kodak Black and Kanye West have shared a mutual admiration for each other throughout the years. In 2023, during an appearance in a Drink Champs interview, Black spoke highly of Kanye saying that he believed he could mentor the rapper, "Kanye, I felt like I can be his mentor or something. It would be very fruitful for his life." He urged Kanye to "holler" at him when he came across the video.
