Taron Edgerton's upcoming action-thriller film, Carry-On, revolves around a young officer (Edgerton) of the Transportation Security Administration who is blackmailed by an unidentified mysterious(Jason Bateman) traveler to let a dangerous package clear airport check-in. DreamWorks Pictures has produced the movie alongside Netflix as the distributor and director Jaume Collet-Serra.
Carry-On will exclusively be released on Netflix on December 13, 2024, with a runtime of 1 hour and 59 minutes. Fans will have to wait till its premiere after which the movie will be available for streaming on Netflix. The official synopsis of Carry-On reads:
"A mysterious traveler blackmails a young TSA agent into letting a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight."

What do we know about the story of Carry-On?
Carry-On is about the encounters of a young TSA officer named Ethan Kopek and a mysterious traveler at the airport. The latter tries to sneak in a dangerous package through security and go aboard on a Christmas day flight.
To accomplish that he blackmails Ethan and threatens him over a headphone, thereby putting his pregnant girlfriend's life at risk. As the movie approaches its climax, viewers will see Ethan stuck at a crossroads as he has to make crucial decisions to avoid any casualties.
Taron Edgerton has told Netflix in a statement:
"When Jaume first approached me about the role, I told him I didn’t want to do something that felt like an archetypal action hero. Luckily, neither of us thought that’s what was exciting or interesting about Ethan. What we kept our eyes on was making sure that we made him feel as relatable and as normal as possible … whatever normal is in the extraordinary situation he’s in."
