Recently, Cheryl Hines was spotted at the confirmation hearing of her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on January 29, 2025.
The photographers captured the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress sitting behind Kennedy Jr. during a Senate Finance Committee hearing in Washington D.C. He has been nominated to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Another picture showed Hines holding hands with Kennedy Jr. as they entered the government building. Later, they were seen sharing a kiss before the commencement of the hearing, USA Today reported.
The duo has been making headlines since reports of a divorce emerged in September 2024, following Kennedy’s alleged affair with New York Magazine Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi. They have been married since 2014.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines have been married for 10 years. In August 2024, the couple celebrated their 10th marriage anniversary. Hines shared the news on her Instagram account with the caption,
“You have given me a life I could've never imagined full of love, laughter, joy and adventure. In my darkest hours, you bring me light. I love you.”
However, in September 2024, Hines was spotted without her wedding ring when rumours of an infidelity involving Kennedy circulated.
Despite, these circumstances the actress was seen supporting her husband at the Senate hearing, indicating a complex dynamic in their relationship.
2006
According to a report in People magazine, when Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. met for the first time in 2006 they were married to their respective partners, Paul Young and Mary Richardson. They met at a ski weekend fundraiser and were introduced by actor Larry David.
2011
The actress shared with the outlet how David convinced her to ski at that moment. The duo reconnected in 2011 when Kennedy separated from Richardson. In an interview with The New York Times, Kennedy shared that their friendship began "slowly at first” which eventually transformed into a romantic relationship. However, the couple kept their relationship private.
Their dating rumours intensified when they appeared together at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012. It followed more public appearances in the months thereafter.
2014
After dating for several years, Kennedy Jr. popped the question to Cheryl Hines. According to People magazine they got engaged in May 2014. Hines confirmed their engagement to US Weekly and said,
"The first time we went scuba diving together, he picked up a starfish at the bottom of the ocean, and gave it to me."
Later, in August 2014, they tied the knot at the famed Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. Reportedly, their wedding was attended by 300 guests which included Hollywood celebrities like Larry David, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kevin Nealon and Ed Begley Jr.
According to the reports, Hines is Kennedy’s third wife. Before her, the politician was married to Emily Black from 1982 to 1994. He then married Mary Richardson in 1994 and separated in 2010. Kennedy shares two children from his first marriage- son Bobby III, and daughter Kathleen. And four children from his second marriage – sons Conor, Finn, Aidan, and daughter Kyra.
While Robert Kennedy Jr. is Hines’ second husband. She was first married to Paul Young. According to Celeb Suburb, they tied the knot on December 30, 2002. They share a daughter, Catherine Rose Young, born on March 8, 2004. Unfortunately, their marriage lasted only for eight years as they filed for a divorce on July 20, 2010.
