Hunxho recently released his new song Part Of The Plan on September 27, 2024. In the song, the rapper seemingly addresses the criticisms leveled at him for dating 42-year-old Keyshia Cole, who is 17 years older than him. The rapper raps:
"If she’s older than my age does that mean we can’t date, is that the law? /I’ve never seen so many people judge I never seen so many people judge like they Allah Agreein' to the hate like it ain't fake, that shit be flaw/Ain't sayin' that I'm better 'cause I make way more than y'all/I'm just bein' real"
Speculation about their relationship emerged after they were spotted walking hand in hand in Atlanta. The criticism the duo faced mainly revolved around their age difference, as exemplified by the two tweets quoted below:
"She been dumb in love and outta love since her debut album."
"lol this ain’t going nowhere what they doing" another netizen stated.
Some however reacted positively to the relationship:
"I see some people don’t know the definition of pedophile. regardless of age difference, they’re both grown and regardless of what anyone says, they’re probably going to do what they wanna do", stated one commentor.
"She look good," another commentor stated.
Keyshia Cole is known for her seven albums, all of which are enriched by her soprano voice and R&B vocals, and she is considered to be one of the ambassadors of the genre by some critics. Cole is also known for her TV appearances, including as the host of One on One with Keyshia Cole, which ran from 2019 to 2020.

Since they were first spotted together, the two have gone public with their relationship. Cole tagged Hunxho's page with a message that read "mine," and the rapper reposted it with a heart emoji.
The couple remained strong, even as Hunxho collaborated with his ex, Gloss Up, in a music video that involved them in a bathtub together. When fans asked Cole how she felt about the rapper's collaboration with his ex, she responded with the following statement on Instagram, which is no longer available:
“The way people wanna see the next unhappy and miserable is forever crazy to me. But I know how this Hollywood shit go. I’m not surprised. But ion wish nothing but Love, prosperity, health and happiness or ALL YALL.”
Keyshia Cole has also blocked some fans who were vocal in their criticisms of her relationship with Hunxho. She responded to those disappointed in her choice of men on social media with the following words:
"Y'all, please don't kill me."
This is not the first time Keyshia Cole has been in a relationship with someone younger. She was previously married to NBA assistant coach and scout Daniel Hiram Gibson, with whom she shares a son. She has also been linked with record executive Birdman, artist Niko Khale, with whom she has another son, and NFL player Antonio Brown.
A brief overview of Hunxho's career
Hunxho started his career in the early 2010s with several mixtapes, the first of which was titled Hunxhoseason, self-released on August 4, 2017. He released his next mixtape, True Story, on January 15, 2018, via 1Team Entertainment.
This was followed by his third mixtape, Suicide and Murder, on July 6, 2018, and then his debut collaborative mixtape, Street Symphony, on November 3, 2018, with the act Street Symphony.
The rapper released his debut EP, Trench Baby, on November 3, 2018. This was followed by several other mixtapes and EPs before he released his debut album, 22, on March 22, 2023.
