Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have now been married for a total of 11 years. The couple first met at a dinner party in 2007 and began dating that year, before announcing their engagement in 2010. After waiting three years to tie the knot, in a show of solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community because gay marriage was not legal then in California.

In the time since announcing their nuptials, the couple has reached “goals status” and seems very much in tune with one another. This sense of peace within themselves has also translated to more trust when the two are on set. Bell recently shared the following with a reporter from E News when the topic was broached.

“Even if Dax hooks up with the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he's committed to our family. I know he's coming home. I know he loves our children. I know he strives to be a great husband and father.”

The pair share two children, daughters Lincoln and Delta, who are 11 and 9 respectively. While the two are featured on several of the actors’ social media posts, the couple have gone out of their way to ensure that their faces are never shared while posting. Kristen Bell elaborated on this in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! While in Copenhagen on vacation with the family, Bell revealed that she and her partner Shepherd would permit their children to roam freely in the enclosed Tivoli Gardens without any supervision.

“The hotel opens up into the theme park and so we just were kind of like, ‘Are we going to free-range parenting and roll the die here?’” she recalled. “They woke up at like 6 a.m. every morning.”
