Gal Gadot has recently revealed a personal health scare she experienced when she was eight months pregnant.

In an Instagram post shared on December 29, the Wonder Woman actress detailed that she “was diagnosed with a massive blood clot” in her brain during her fourth pregnancy. She wrote:

“For weeks, I had endured excruciating headaches that confined me to bed, until I finally underwent an MRI that revealed the terrifying truth.” The actress added, “It was a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change, and in the midst of a difficult year, all I wanted was to hold on and live.”

The 39-year-old actress is the mother of four children, including her youngest daughter, Ori, who was born this March.

In her social media post, the actress revealed that she “underwent emergency surgery” and that Ori was also born “during that moment of uncertainty and fear.” She described her daughter as the “light” that waited for her at the end of the tunnel. “My daughter, Ori, is a constant reminder of resilience, hope, and the strength we carry within.”

Gadot, who married Jaron Varsano in 2008, welcomed their eldest daughter, Alma, in 2011. Her other two daughters, Maya and Daniella, were born in 2017 and 2021, respectively.

Gal Gadot met her husband, Jaron Varsano, in 2006 at a "chakra/yoga retreat" in the Israeli desert, according to a report in Vogue.

"It was all about yoga, chakras, and eating healthy—we didn't exactly find ourselves there, but we found each other, " the actress told Glamour magazine in 2016.

According to People magazine, Varsano is a real estate developer and businessman. He built the Varsano Hotel in Tel Aviv, Israel, along with his brother, Guy. He reportedly transitioned into film production in 2017.

In 2019, Gadot and Varsano founded their production company, Polit Wave Motion Pictures.

She further revealed that her husband is 10 years older than her, and she was 21 then. "He's 10 years older than me. He told me on our second date he was serious and wouldn't wait more than two years to ask me to marry him. Fast forward two years, he proposed. We were married in 2008."

She also told the outlet that Jaron was instrumental in raising their daughters.

Alma, the eldest daughter of Gal Gadot and her husband Jaron Varsano, who is now 13, was born on November 5, 2011. “Alma decided she had enough and came out a good few weeks before my due date,” the Red Notice actress revealed in an Instagram post.

A report in People magazine stated that she made a cameo appearance in Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to the original film released in 2017. A Christmas scene towards the end of the film shows Alma, along with her sister Maya.

Maya Varsano, the second daughter of Gal Gadot and her husband, was born on March 20, 2017.

"And then we were four... She is here, Maya. I feel so complete blessed and thankful for all the Wonders in my life #family #newborn #grateful," Gadot wrote on Instagram announcing the birth of Maya.

The actress hinted at plans to feature her daughters, including Maya, in Wonder Woman 3. "Well, we might. They can get used to it. It's a nice souvenir in each movie, they're going to be older and older," she told Entertainment Tonight.

Daniella Varsano

Gal Gadot gave birth to Daniella Varsano on June 29, 2021. She announced the arrival of her third daughter through an Instagram post that featured a family selfie.

"My sweet family. I couldn't be more grateful and happy (and tired), we are all so excited to welcome Daniella into our family. I'm sending all of you love and health. GG,"

Ori Varsano

Ori was born in March 2024. She shared in an Instagram post how it was not an easy pregnancy, but she made it through.

"You have brought so much light into our lives, living up to your name, Ori, which means ‘my light’ in Hebrew. Our hearts are full of gratitude. Welcome to the house of girls..daddy is pretty cool too," the Heart of Stone actress wrote in the caption.
In her recent social media post, Gal Gadot has described her medical condition as cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) which affects approximately 3 in 100,000 pregnant women over the age of 30. Sharing the post Gadot wrote that her intention was not to “frighten anyone” but to “empower” and raise awareness among the women.
