Hold Your Breath was released exclusively on Hulu on October 3, 2024. This psychological horror thriller, led by Sarah Paulson, has received mixed reviews from the audience. The movie has a short cast of characters and currently has a rating of about 42% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hold Your Breath is directed by Karrie Crouse and William Joines and is set in 1930s Oklahoma. A rural area infiltrated by horrific dust storms slowly resembles The Grey Man.

The movie follows Margaret Bellum as she tries to defend herself and her two daughters from the horrifying dust storms engulfing the rural town. These sinister and terrifying dust storms continue to create havoc for the mother and her daughters, to the point that Paulson's Bellum continues to lose her sanity.

Hold Your Breath then plunges into Bellum's descent into madness and the lore of ''The Grey Man'' as he comes to live. The man who was once a part of children's stories comes into shape in these sinister storms.

1. Sarah Paulson as Margaret Bellum

The actress is most famous for her work in the American Horror Story universe, appearing in 95 of its 129 episodes. She has recently appeared in the Emmy Award-winning show The Bear. She is an eight-time Emmy nominee. Her other notable roles include Prime series Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the FX series American Crime Story, the Netflix series Ratched, Glass (2019), Bird Box (2018), Ocean's Eight (2018), and The Post (2017).

She plays Margaret Bellum in Hold Your Breath, a woman who tries her best to defend her daughters from the sinister dust storms until she becomes a target of The Grey Man.

2. Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Wallace Grady

Moss has recently won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in The Bear as Richie. He debuted in 2001 with the movie The Believer.

His other notable performances include No Hard Feelings, 2017's The Punisher, 2022's Andor, and 2008's John Adams. The actor is all set to make his MCU debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025).

Moss plays the role of Wallace Grady, a preacher with healing powers.

3. Amiah Miller as Rose Bellum

The 20-year-old actress is a rising star who made her acting debut in the 2016 thriller Lights Out. She got her breakthrough role in War for the Planet of the Apes in 2017 as Nova. Her other notable works include Trafficked, House by the Lake, Anastasia: Once Upon a Time, The Water Man, and My Best Friend's Exorcism.

Her upcoming projects include The Stranger in My Name, The Madison, and Burn Alive. In Hold Your Breath, she plays Rose Bellum, Margaret's eldest daughter.

4. Alona Jane Robbins as Ollie Bellum
