Taylor Swift's The Official Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Book autobiography has been released. The book was released on Target on November 29, 2024. The 256-page book is currently priced at $39.99. The book features a total of 500 images, including behind-the-scenes photos and rehearsal photos.

Accompanied by the images are the singer's personal reflections, which include several revelations, from what made her conceptualize the Eras Tour to her The Tortured Poets Department live performance rover having a driver underneath the platform. The article below includes some of the revelations given in the book by Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift's revelations in Eras Tour book

1) The Tortured Poet's Department Rover

Taylor Swift revealed in her book that the rover used in her live performance of Down Bad is driven by a crew member:

"The ‘rover’ platform I travel on actually is operated by a crew member, who lays inside the platform and drives it from inside."

The singer also revealed the intention behind the performance, stating:

"I wanted to create the illusion of an alien abduction, a battle scene, a religious institution, a mental institution, a haunted house, and a showgirl’s dressing room routine. It was ambitious as hell but we pulled it off, creating what I think is the most dramatic, cathartic, female-rage-driven part of the night.”

2) Mastermind Checkmate

The singer reveals in the book that for her live performance of the Mastermind song, the singer created a dance sequence that replicates the exact sequence for a checkmate in a chess game:

“For ‘Mastermind,’ we recreate a chessboard and when I signal the dancers to move to different spots on the board, they actually create the exact sequence for a checkmate.”

3) The Eras Tour was conceptualized by her need to re-do the six albums as "Taylor's Version"

While avoiding the mention of Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun, the singer reveals that the necessity of redoing the first six albums of her career to assert her own rights led to the conceptualization of the project:

"In another realm of my priorities was my passion project: re-recording my first six albums that were sold away from me by my former record label. Reclaiming my past made me fall back in love with it. Revisiting that past work made me want to honor it and honor what the fans had done for me with the Taylor’s Version albums.”

4) Over 10 million people attended The Eras tour

The Eras Tour is considered to be one of the most successful tours in Western music history, with valuations of its economic impact being around $10 billion dollars, according to the US Travel Association.

While the singer does not talk about the economic side of things of the tour in the book, she did reveal that 10.1 million fans attended her concerts in 152 stadiums in 51 cities around the world.

It is to be noted that the figures mentioned in the book are not up to date. The singer still has some concerts left in the Eras Tour, with the last show being scheduled for December 8, 2024, at the BC Palace in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

5) Taylor Swift's favorite song from Speak Now is Enchanted

Taylor Swift revealed in the book that her favorite song from the Speak Now album is Enchanted, and it is the reason that the song is the only song from the album to be part of her Eras Tour setlists.

6) Taylor Swift has 8 guitars and 15 mics ready for her during Eras tour shows

Taylor Swift revealed in the book that for each era tour show, the singer has eight color-coded guitars and 15 different mics, all colored differently, ready for her use throughout the performance.

More Revelations from Taylor Swift's Eras Tour book
