When a movie gets praise from some of the biggest names in Hollywood, you know it’s got to be good. Sinners is one of those films that’s been getting love from some major stars, and it’s easy to see why. From its stunning visuals to Ryan Coogler's breathtaking filmmaking, this one is an absolute masterpiece!
Starring Michael B. Jordan as twins, and a fresh Miles Caton in his debut, Sinners is a gothic vampire thriller on the surface, but in depth, it's so much more than that. Its exploration of Black culture and the legacy of the Blues is simply laudable, and the love the film is getting is a testimony to that.
It’s no surprise that major names are already raving about it. Pedro Pascal and Tom Cruise, both pros in the game, are all praise for the film as it continues to get much love from fans. Here are all the big stars who are all praise for the film and what all the hype is about!
Pedro Pascal

One of the biggest stars to compliment the film and urging fans to go watch it was Pedro Pascal, who kept his note short, sweet, and to the point. Taking to Instagram to post a still from the film that featured Michael B. Jordan and Hailee Steinfeld, Pascal wrote,
Shut the f*ck up and go see this movie. #SINNERS #RyanCoogler
Naturally, this brought the film quite a few fans, considering the actor's heavy following online. And to Pedro, we couldn’t agree more! He must’ve sent a whole army of fans to the theaters — us included.
Tom Cruise

Hollywood's favorite action hero also joined the praise train for Sinners as he shared a photo of himself attending one of the film's shows in theaters. With the poster as a backdrop, Cruise wrote,
Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and to the entire cast and crew. Must see in a cinema and stay through the end credits!
Cruise's good review naturally means a lot as the actor rarely expresses his love for other projects, but Sinners is quite an exceptional film, as we all agree. Rightly so, the film does have an unexpected ending, long after the credits, so make sure you stick around for a big surprise at the end!
Spike Lee

Director Spike Lee also said a few kind words about the film, which the director got to see an early preview of. Offering his review of Sinners on Instagram, Lee wrote,
"I just had the greatest experience of watching a film in years. My brother, Ryan Coogler, invited me to experience his new film Sinners in IMAX. His incredible artistry as a storyteller is on another level. And, you know, my brother Michael B. Jordan did his thing – the performances, cinematography, production design, costume design, original score, songs, and visual effects are all amazing. What more could you want? I sat next to Ryan and his lovely wife, Zinzi Coogler (the producer), during the screening, and I felt like I was courtside at Madison Square Garden, watching us kick the Celtics in that green! I haven’t felt this way in a movie theater in a long time."
He further added,
"The last thing I told my brother, Ryan, was that he really, 100%, tapped into our ancestors with this film. And that’s the power, truth, and essence of Black cinema."
The message was posted on Lee's Instagram alongside a photo of him and Coogler standing on both sides of the film's poster. Surely, praise from a director as good as Spike Lee must mean great things for the film, and it only goes on to highlight Coogler and Jordan's hard work on the project.
Jamie Foxx

To celebrate the success of Sinners, Michael B. Jordan shared a video on Instagram where he expressed his gratitude to everyone for the film's success.
In the caption, Jordan wrote,
"Words can’t express the gratitude that I feel for everyone and the outpour of love for our film!! it’s a crazy feeling to know how many of you have showed up and continue to support this film. This is why we make movies and love watching movies on the big screen. It brings people together!! "
Sure enough, stars flooded his comments section as they praised his performance and the premise of the film, and among those cheering on for him was Jamie Foxx.
Commenting under the post, Foxx wrote,
"Fantastic job my brother you’ve done it once again… to be able to watch a pair of Jordans turn in an incredible performance… we gonna keep going back… it is easy to support when the art is flawless… we thank you… and continue to soak up this love. It is well deserved."

More stars like Big Sean, Keke Palmer, and Terry Crews followed, with fans pouring love for the project through social media love!
Snoop Dogg

Another big name from Hollywood who praised the film was Snoop Dogg, who went on Instagram as she shared a video of himself praising Sinners.
Talking to his fans, the rapper said,
"Ryan Coogler. Michael B. Jordan and the cast of the movie Sinners. I just seen a sneak peak preview of the movie. My God. Movie of the f*cking year. Ryan Coogler. Great director, great storyline.
