The legendary actress was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades-long contribution to film and television. Despite technical difficulties, the two-time Oscar winner wasted no time in delivering an inspiring speech, emphasizing the profound importance of empathy.

Timothee Chalamet wins his first major award
For his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, Timothée Chalamet received the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. The recognition was given to him for his exceptional portrayal of the legendary musician. Not only was this his first major award win, but it also made him the youngest recipient in the award's 31-year history. He won over strong contenders like Adrien Brody, who had been on a winning streak for his role in the movie, The Brutalist.

Demi More continues her dominance at the awards
"The Substance" actor continues her winning streak awards for her role in the psychological thriller. She won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor, making it her third consecutive win in a major awards category for the same role.
"This is extraordinary and so deeply meaningful. I was thinking about this night and I realized I hadn’t thought back to when I got my membership to this incredible organization. It was in 1978. I was 15, almost 16. It changed my life because it gave me meaning. It gave me purpose. It gave direction.
In the film, Moore portrays a once-loved actor who injects herself with an experimental drug to prevent fading from the limelight, but what follows are disastrous consequences. The other nominees in the category included Cynthia Erivo, Pamela Anderson, Mickey Madison, and Karla Sofia Gascón.
Conclave wins the top award
The papal thriller won the Best Movie Ensemble at the Screen Actor Guild Awards on Sunday, surprising many. While this win cannot be said to be a precursor to what will happen at the Oscars next week. The film has previously won a BAFTA and garnered praise from both critics and audiences, but the competition for the Best Movie at the Oscars will be particularly fierce this year. Cast members Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow accepted the award.
Shogun continues to reign unchallenged
The historical drama that has dominated the award season added another set of accolades to its bag. The series swept three major categories, winning the Best Drama Series Ensemble, Anna Sawai for Best Actor in a Drama Series, and Hiroyuki Sanada for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
Biggest snubs of the night
The biggest snub of the night was for The Bear and Anora. Both the series and movie have previously won several awards in their respective categories at other awards, but on Sunday, neither managed to secure a single win.
Few hilarious moments from the award night
Kristen Bell kicked off the night with a playful parody of "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" during her opening monologue, reimagining the lyrics as "Do you wanna be an actor?" while showing early roles of many of the actors in attendance, gathering many laughs.
In another hilarious moment, as the camera panned to Jessica Williams, who started narrating how she became a card-carrying member of the SAG, Harrison Ford stole the show with his unexpected cameo. The actor who was sitting at the same table was caught biting into a piece of bread, sending everyone into fits of laughter. "I told him to turn away!" Jessica exclaimed to the camera, while Ford added, "Don't look!" See, kids?"
Jessica Gunning wins her first SAG Award
Jessica Gunning won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie of Limited Series, beating tough competition from Kathy Bates, Cate Blanchett, Jodie Foster, Lily Gladstone, and Cristin Milioti.
"Wow, thank you so much. Wow. I feel like such a lucky bunny to even be in this room, let alone be nominated or up here, honestly.” the stunned actress added.
The SAG Awards paid homage to the Scream Queens of the past
A sweet and touching tribute was paid to the iconic actresses who have shaped the horror genre, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mia Goth, Heather Langenkamp, and many others.
