Throwback to when Chris Evans let fans know he was a huge fan of Disney musicals!
Chris Evans led Captain America: Civil War saw quite an entertaining press tour as the actor, teamed up with the likes of Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Paul Rudd often attended promo interviews with hilarious outcomes. One such was Evans and the team's appearance at the Jimmy Kimmel Show in 2016 during the film's press tour, where the host quizzed the team on the Captain America actor's favorite musical.
Kimmel asks Mackie, Stan and Rudd,
"Chris has memorised the lyrics to the songs to what Disney musical?"
Mackie is the first to answer Frozen, which is proven to be untrue. Rudd quips in saying it's Aladdin, which is also untrue. Sebastian Stan then answers the question corrently as he says it's The Little Mermaid to which Evans agrees is the correct answer.
He then also adds,
“To be fair, there’s, like, five movies you could have named that would have worked.”
Kimmel then moves on to ask which language Sebastian Stan can speak apart from English, to which Paul Rudd instantly correctly answers is Romanian. The duo then followed it up with a quick anecdote of when they met in the streets of New York once when Stan was talking to his therapist.
The interview showed the close-knit bond between the cast as they answered trivia about each other. Captain America: Civil War came out in May 2016 and starred a handful of Marvel superheroes including Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff, Tom Holland's Spiderman, Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man and Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa among others.
Is Chris Evans going to return to the MCU?
The Captain America star is an obvious favorite among Marvel fans who have often theorized and speculated if he will return for any future Marvel films. Though there were initial rumors of him being a part of Avengers: Doomsday, the actor denied the reports and announced that he has happily retired.
Talking to Esquire magazine, the actor said,
“That’s not true, though. This always happens. I mean, it happens every couple years — ever since Endgame. I’ve just stopped responding to it. Yeah, no — happily retired!”
Evans' Captain America aka Steve Rogers has passed on the baton to Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson, who is the new Captain America in the MCU. Previously the Falcon, Wilson got his first movie this year, Captain America: Brave New World, where he made his debut as the Captain while attempting to throw out a global terror plan.
Captain America: Brave New World is in theaters now.
