A new chapter will be opened with Final Destination: Bloodlines in the supernatural horror franchise that is still enthralling to the audience today. The idea for the film was there but that depended solely on the success of the fifth movie in the franchise. It was a big box office success.

The new film is more of a re-imagining of the franchise rather than a sequel or a prequel. Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein will be directing the film, with its release date scheduled for May 2025. For now, there's no news of a potential delay so we can expect it to hit the theatres on the scheduled date.

As for now, Tony Todd, Brec Bassinger, Richard Harmon, and more have been finalized for the film's cast. New Line Cinema will be producing it, while Warner Bros. Pictures is responsible for the theatrical distribution. HBO Max is on the vanguard for its digital distribution.

If there are no delays, Final Destination: Bloodlines will be hitting theaters on May 16, 2025, but we don't have the details on its digital release now. Craig Perry, one of the producers, revealed in March 2024 that the filming has begun according to Bloody Disgusting.

He said,

“After a long, hard slog through the pandemic and the strikes, Day One is finally in the can. 2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the first installment in the franchise. To honor the occasion with another worldwide theatrical release (in IMAX, no less) is a rare and wonderful thing. See you next year!"

The creator of the franchise, Jeffrey Reddick, too confirmed in August 2024 that it will be released in theatres and IMAX.

Like it was for several films, SAG-AFTRA Strike became a sticking point for Final Destination: Bloodlines, or it may have finished earlier.

Not a lot is out there in the open but death will be seen (not from the naked eye) dancing around. However, this time it won't be a random individual spreading panic in the public to entertain death; it will be the first responders this time.

One thing appears imminent: a revolving door in the film going to give someone (or some people) a big trouble. Because Craig Perry has teased,

"I don’t think anybody will look at a revolving door in the same way again..."

We can expect that panic may have less room here, especially whoever is going to have a premonition, given that first responders are made to deal with such troubles.

Industry insider Daniel Richtman presented a potential plot that seems entirely different than this one. According to him, it is about a girl whose premonitions are associated with her grandmother, and this runs in the bloodline; this goes well with the title too. Or both the plots may have some truth to them and it could be that both the stories are connected.

Who will be in the cast of Final Destination: Bloodlines?

As it has always been, 'death will be the lead' in the film. Other cast members include Brec Bassinger, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, and more. Late Tony Todd, who played an expert on death, namely William Bludworth, in all the films, is rumored to be appearing in the movie too.

More joining the cast are as follows:

  • Yvette Ferguson - Mrs. Fuller
  • Mark Brandon - Mr. Fuller
  • Jeanie Cloutier - Suspicious Doctor
  • April Telek - Aunt Brenda

Other than Todd, it is unknown if anyone will appear even as a cameo in Final Destination: Bloodlines.
