Terrifier 3 is back in theatres in time for Halloween, and fans are eager to learn what the third installment has to offer. The Terrifier franchise has come a long way with its third movie, which also marks the return of Art the Clown. The movie is enjoying a wide theatrical release just ahead of the Holiday season.

Terrifier 3 will follow the lead protagonist, Sienna (Lauren LaVera), as she gets her life together after the horrifying events of the second movie. Just as she is getting back in the holiday spirit, Art the Clown makes a comeback.

Director Damien Leone has already teased a Terrifier 4, marking the franchise's continuation. Since Terrifier 2 had a post-credits scene, it was highly expected that the third part would also have one. The post-credits scene of the second part was crucial in setting up the hype for the third installment.

However, it is now confirmed that Terrifier 3 has no post-credits scene.

Does Terrifier 3 have a post-credits scene?

The post-credits scene of Terrifier 2 showed the return of Vicky (Samantha Scaffidi), who is Art's accomplice in the newest installment. But it is now confirmed that Terrifier 3 has no post-credits scene.

It is quite surprising that Leone chose not to add any post-credits scene to create hype or tease the first look at Terrifier 4. Fans eagerly wait for these scenes to set up theories about future films.

But it seems viewers do not have to worry about missing a thing because the movie does not have a post-credits scene. Considering the previous film, the creative choice not to include a post-credit scene is worth noting.

Why does Terrifier 3 not have a post-credits scene?

Since the second part of the movie ended on a positive note, with Sienna decapitating Art and saving herself and Jonathan, a post-credits scene teasing the return of Art with Vicky in Terrifier 3 made sense. This also set up the hype for the clown's return.

Terrifier 3 ends with a cliffhanger, which, in a way, confirms that another adventure is afoot. And since Leone has already signaled a fourth movie, the post-credits scene would not surprise the audience, who already know that a fourth part is in the works.

By not including a post-credits scene, Leone wanted the audience to leave the theatres with the movie's ending rather than the post-credits scene. As much fun as these scenes are, they do undermine the movie's ending by ''stealing their thunder'' a bit.

The ending of Terrifier 3 demands a fourth part, which would make a post-credits scene senseless. Hence, Leone's choice of not including makes sense.

Terrifier 3 was released at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, on September 19, 2024, and received positive reviews from critics. The movie is now available in theatres.
