F1 is a forthcoming film in the sports action drama genre, and it's directed by Joseph Kosinski, who earlier helmed Top Gun: Maverick. The film will be released theatrically on June 25, 2025, by Warner Bros. Pictures. This will be followed by its US release two days later.
This Brad Pitt and Damson Idris-starrer follows a Formula One driver who comes out of retirement to mentor and team with a younger driver.
Recently, the makers dropped a video featuring some behind-the-scenes moments from this upcoming film. So, let's take a look.
WB drops BTS clip from F1
Warner Bros Pictures recently dropped a nearly three-minute-long BTS video clip from their forthcoming racing sports drama F1. Titled Behind the Scenes for 75 Lives, the video begins with Pitt's character (Sonny Hayes) driving his racing vehicle on the track at full speed. It is then followed by the voice-over of the film's director, Joseph Kosinski. He says:
"You can talk about speed, but we wanted to make audiences feel it. The camera technology we developed for Maverick was groundbreaking. On F1, we have pushed it even further. "
The video then features popular British racer Lewis Hamilton, who is one of the producers of F1. He praises the cast of the film, including Brad Pitt, and says he felt like a kid while being on the set. He further talks about the film's authenticity and says:
"The F1 movie is as authentic a racing movie has ever been."
The film then showcases some thrilling moments from the shoot, along with interviews with actor Damson Idris and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Kosinski says that it's better to overachieve than underachieve, and they have overachieved. Meanwhile, Idris says that the team was able to accomplish something that had not been done before. The BTS clip ends with one of the lines of Javier Bardem in the film.
