Joseph Kosinky's upcoming sports action film F1 starring Brad Pitt is set for a theatrical release in the United States on June 27, 2025. The Apple Studios movie is based on the Formula One World Championship and has been penned by Ehren Kruger.
The plot builds up around a retired Formula One driver Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) who makes his way back to the circuit as a mentor. He then starts working with the Apex Grand Prix team on his return alongside his partner Joshua "Noah" Pearce (played by Damson Idris).

Brad Pitt's upcoming sports action drama movie F1 will be released in the United States on June 27, 2025, by Warner Bros. Pictures. Initially, Apple Studios had the distribution rights but later, WB acquired it in June, 2024.
F1 will reportedly be screened in IMAX format and the global release is set for June 25, 2025. However, it will also be made available on Apple TV+ though, the dates have not been confirmed yet. The story revolves around the titular character Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) who returns to the ground years after a horrible crash forced him into retirement.
He is seen competing on behalf of the fictional Apex Grand Prix team (APXGP) alongside rookie talent and partner Joshua "Noah" Pearce (Damson Idris). The movie has been filmed in association with the entire Formula One community including several F1 teams and their riders.
We also get to witness thrilling sequences from race circuits on the official trailer as Queen's 'We Will Rock You' plays in the background. F1 will reportedly carry elements of drama along with a substantial amount of action on the ground as real-life F1 drivers make guest appearances.

Academy Award-winning actor Brad Pitt will play the titular character Sonny Hayes, a retired F1 driver who reprises his part on the circuit after a long break.
