Every major Marvel character missing from the Avengers: Doomsday cast

Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Tom Hiddleston, and more—let's just hope the Avengers: Doomsday cast is in front of us. Because we don't know what kind of surprise the Russos are planning for the next Avengers film. Last night, Marvel kept fans on a slow burn as they kept revealing the names of the film's members. Robert Downey Jr. believes there's always room for more, though.

This is the multiverse we are talking about; who knows if any of them pop up in a different avatar than their regular ones? We already know that's true for Downey, who is too dialed in to play Victor Von Doom. And there's Tom Hiddleston, who may return as Avenger Prime to confront him.

But there are still a few major names missing on this initial roster. Names who fans might want to see in action for whatever the story awaits. So we will see which of these MCU characters were missing and just hope they'll see the events happening in the film in person.

Major MCU characters who weren't mentioned in the Avengers: Doomsday cast

6. Scarlet Witch

Last time we saw her, she was probably under the rubble of Mount Wundagore in an attempt to destroy all the copies of the Darkhold. Elizabeth Olsen plays Scarlet Witch and what happens to her in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cannot be her end. She might appear in future MCU projects but we cannot say if that will be facing Doctor Doom, as she wasn't among the Avengers: Doomsday cast.

5. Peter Parker

Though Tom Holland's Peter Parker is a recent joinee in the MCU, he has definitely made a big impact and is now forgotten by the world after he insisted Doctor Strange cast that spell. Who knows? Maybe these guys are under that spell too and forgot to put his chair in the livestream last night. Interestingly, he was joined by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in No Way Home, so if he has any plans to appear, he needs to bring his multiversal friends too.

4. Clint Barton

Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye did that last time too. He disappeared in Infinity War and returned in Endgame when Natasha found him going full Ronin in the Infinity Saga's conclusion. Right now, he might be chilling or teaching his new tutee, with whom he wreaked havoc on the streets of New York City as goons chased them. We would like to see him using those trick arrows himself instead of Kate Bishop.

3. Steve Rogers

Oh yes, there was a Captain America (Anthony Mackie) among the Avengers: Doomsday cast but there wasn't a Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in it. He has already lived his life as he traveled back in time and decided to stay there. Who knows if his actions caused something and brought a new timeline to life? Doctor Doom could be a product of it. If that's the case, he better show up in the film. Just not as Captain Hydra.

2. Bruce Banner

Another big name that was missing from the Avengers: Doomsday cast was Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner. His best buddy is coming back with a green theme so he would like to see that, just not confront him. But they are intellectuals; our heroes can always use a brainy tip from Professor Hulk.

1. Doctor Strange

Now, now! He is one of the few characters who helped carry the multiverse in the ongoing MCU saga. If that's the multiverse we are talking about, we have got to have a Sorcerer Supreme on board. But sadly, Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange was nowhere to be found among the Avengers: Doomsday cast, strange!
