Drake has announced his first Australian tour in eight years, set for 2025. Titled the 'Anita Max Wynn' tour, the rapper announced the tour during an appearance on fellow Canadian celebrity and online streamer xQc's livestream on November 24, 2024, stating that the tour would run from February to March 2025. He also stated that he didn't know why it took him so long to return to Australia:

"February 9, for anyone that’s watching from Australia – I’m coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years. I’m coming back to Australia, on tour. Funny enough, it’s called the Anita Max Wynn tour. Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast… February 9 ’til like… March something... I don’t know, that makes me sound kinda crazy. I love it down there"

The rapper has not confirmed any concrete details of the tour as of the writing of this article. Interested patrons will need to regularly check the rapper's socials and official website for further updates on the tour as and when they arrive.

The rapper has however confirmed that he will not extend the tour to Asia. It is unclear whether or not he will perform in New Zealand or elsewhere in Oceania during the upcoming tour at the moment.

Drake provided an update on his upcoming album during the live stream

Alongside the announcement of the Australian tour, Drake also went on to provide an update to his upcoming collaborative album with PartyNextDoor, stating:

"Me and Party’s album is 75 percent done shout out to PX cooking right now. Album sounds incredible…This album is good; it’s the sound that people know and love us for."

The update comes months after Drake and PartyNextDoor announced the new album during a concert by the latter at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada on August 2, 2024:

“On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all. “So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, [a] PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you."

The upcoming collaborative album will be Drake's first full-length collaboration since 2022's Her, in which he collaborated with 21 Savage. After the initial announcement, PartyNextDoor went on to provide an update earlier this month on November 5, 2024, via an Instagram Live session, stating:

"Guys, I have one more show on this tour. Then the album is getting finished. That’s all I gotta say."

For PartyNextDoor, the upcoming album will be the first collaborative album of his career. It will also come after the release of his fourth studio album, PartyNextDoor 4, on April 26, 2024.

Drake, meanwhile, last released a studio album, For All the Dogs, back in 2023. His eighth studio album, For All the Dogs, was released on October 6, 2023. The album featured guest appearances from the likes of 21 Savage, SZA, PartyNextDoor, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, and Sexyy Red.

After the release of his album in 2023, Drake was involved in a nearly year-long feud with Kendrick Lamar in 2024, with J Cole, Future, Metro Boomin, and more getting involved. The duo's tracks came out in response to the each other and were major hits on the charts.
