However, it wasn’t until 2009 that Glover shot into the spotlight with his role in NBC’s Community. While he didn’t return for the show’s fifth and sixth season, the role was enough for Glover and he signed a deal in 2013 to create a show for FX. That was later called Atalanta and Glover would write, star, and also serve as an executive producer.

Around the same time, his career as a musician also took off with Glover releasing an independent mix-tape in 2008, 2009, and 2010 before his first EP dropped in 2011.
